How to work effectively with Generation Z?
Generation Z feels best in modernly managed companies, where state-of-the-art technology is available, preferably with the logo of a bitten apple. Generation Z was often brought up surrounded by the modern technology so they could find it very hard to work using standard, not advanced devices. It is a generation of prosperity and technological gadgets, depending on the virtual world, Instagram and Facebook.
Generation Z consists of independent, ambitious and autonomous people. Open to the world, not seeing restrictions and barriers – citizens of the world. What is a threat to their older colleagues, is an object of fascination for them. They prefer to work independently and on their account rather than cooperation and teamwork. Every other person is a rival on the way to achieve the goal. Young ambitious people put a lot of emphasis on professional development, even at the cost of a reduced salary ‘here and now’. They want to develop, keep with the spirit of the times and are highly motivated. Employers who want to attract Generation Z to their companies must clearly show them a career path, offer opportunities and ensure constant development. Generation Z is an ‘instant’ generation – everything must be here and now. They always say what they think and they expect the transparency of rules and unhampered flow of information in the company which they work for.
